Across the pond in the UK, former Australian Super Rugby players Peter Betham and Lachlan McCaffrey won some silverware with the Leicester Tigers, who downed the Exeter Chiefs in the final of the Anglo-Welsh Cup.

In the Super League Anthony Gelling scored a try for Wigan in their 16-all draw with Huddersfield, while Ben Murdoch-Masila crossed for a double as Salford beat high-flying Castleford 13-12.

Former Sharks and Titans halfback Albert Kelly scored a double for Hull FC, with one-time Melbourne Storm back Mahe Fonua adding another, as they beat Widnes 32-12.
Former Manly Sea Eagles Adam Cuthbertson and Matt Parcell both scored for Leeds in a big win over Wakefield, while David Fifita scored a try for the beaten Wildcats.
