Brisbane Broncos re-sign Ben Hunt

The Brisbane Broncos have acted swiftly by re-signing breakout halfback Ben Hunt until the end of the 2017 season.

Ben’s contract was meant to conclude at the end of next season, but thanks to his terrific campaign – where he finished four points behind joint Dally M winners Johnathan Thurston and Jarryd Hayne – new (but old) coach Wayne Bennett has decided to reward the 24-year-old sooner rather than later.

This is no doubt a meaningful moment in Ben’s career, having only started 22 of his 89 NRL appearances in the halves before the commencement of the 2014 season.

Check out some of Ben’s stellar highlights from 2014.
