Has the term ‘super sub’ ever been better suited to someone than Brisbane Roar forward Henrique Andrade Silva?
The tiny Brazilian appears to be two completely different players, depending on whether he starts the game or comes off the bench.
Often when he is named in the starting XI for Mike Mulvey’s side, he fails to make any real impact on the game. When brought on after a certain period of time, however, his pace and trickery are suddenly all the more threatening.
This was proven once again in the Hyundai A-League when Brisbane took on the Newcastle Jets.
Coming off the bench early to replace an injured Jean Carlos Solorzano in the first half, Henrique nailed the first hattrick of his A-League career. A couple of the goals were doozies, too.
