Cahill's stunning double sinks China

Socceroos legend Tim Cahill added another spellbinding chapter to his stellar international career, inspiring Australia to a 2-0 triumph over China in the Asian Cup quarter-final with a stunning brace of goals in the second half at Suncorp Stadium.

Cahill’s 49th-minute bicycle kick broke the impasse, before the 35-year-old put the result beyond doubt 17 minutes later with a superb trademark header finish.

The double took Cahill’s international tally to 39 goals – an Australian record – in 80 matches.

Cahill certainly has a penchant for performing on the big occasion – and we can’t wait to see what he produces in the semi-final against the winner of Tuesday’s Japan v UAE quarter.
