Phillip Hughes plunders another double-ton

Fresh from his record-breaking double-century for Australia A in a one-day match against South Africa A, Phillip Hughes has plundered another double-ton in a four-day match between the same opponents in Townsville.

Hughes, the Australia A captain, scored an unbeaten 243 in the drawn encounter, including 26 fours and a six.

An unlucky omission from the Australian side for the tour of Zimbabwe, Hughes’ electrifying form was belatedly rewarded when he was called up to replace the injured Shane Watson.
