Freakish fielding in Matador One-Day Cup

Recent matches in Australia’s domestic Matador One-Day Cup have been marked by some extraordinary efforts in the field.

NSW’s Ryan Carter took this screamer end Ben Cutting’s handy cameo at the Gabba on Friday, ultimately helping the Blues to a thrilling three-wicket win over Queensland with only three balls to spare.

But the best fielding effort of the week belonged to Victoria’s wicketkeeper Matthew Wade, who produced this unbelievable off-balance throw to run out NSW’s Nic Maddison.

Despite Wade’s heroics, the Blues won by five wickets with 13 balls to spare at North Sydney Oval to remain unbeaten at the top of the table.
