Brendon McCullum's freakish fielding

Brendon McCullum’s heroics with the bat in the last 12 months have been so far out of this world, it’s easy to forget he is also one of cricket’s most brilliant fieldsmen.

The New Zealand captain produced two pieces of late-innings magic in the field against Sri Lanka in the fourth ODI at Nelson, first taking a superb running and diving catch to get rid of Perrera.

Just two overs later, he showed amazing athleticism to almost come up with the catch of the summer. The ball slipped out, but he recovered fast enough to regather the ball and run out Kulasekara with a superb off-balance throw.

There’s no doubt about it – ‘Baz’ is a freak.
