Boult takes a boundary screamer

Veteran commentator Michael Holding called it the catch of the season – and New Zealand paceman Trent Boult’s boundary effort to dismiss Keiron Pollard in the second T20 international against the West Indies will take some beating.

After brilliantly gloving a six-bound rocket from Pollard one-handed, Boult tossed it up into the air in one motion before stepping over the rope and then taking a wonderful diving catch to finish the job.

It was a spectacular act of athleticism from the ever-improving young fast bowler, but the Black Caps’ batsmen were unable to match their teammate’s heroics, all out for 126 in response to the Windies’ 165.

The two-match series was drawn 1-all after New Zealand’s 12-run win a day earlier.
