Carlisle propels Essendon with eight goals

On the weekend Essendon produced a stunning seven-point victory over the Western Bulldogs after being down 20 points early in the final quarter.

The Bombers recorded five of the last six goals in the match. Jake Carlisle had the game of his career nudging eight goals – two in every quarter.

Carlisle’s eight goals, 12 marks and seven tackles earned him man-of-the-match honours.
