Buddy brilliance at Adelaide Oval

Buddy Franklin has taken just two rounds to submit his entry for the most freakish goal of 2015, toeing through a fourth-quarter gem in Sydney’s emphatic 48-point win over Port Adelaide on Saturday night.

After fumbling a hand-ball near the boundary line, Franklin instinctively flashed his famous left boot at the Sherrin, grubbering it through off the deck for a remarkable major.

Franklin notched three goals for the second successive week as the Swans surged to an important victory over the Power, a fellow heavyweight, at Adelaide Oval.

It was a clinical display from last year’s beaten Grand finalists, who scored three or more goals in each quarter, while the disappointing Power kicked just two majors in the second half.
