When we were kids my buddy Blom used to literally wear holes in his jeans from a nervous tick that forced him to rub his thighs emphatically during the most nerve-racking moments of a football game.
Oh, the sacrifices we make as fans.
It’s week 16 and there’s plenty of thigh-rubbing action to fill up your weekend.
1. Chiefs @ Steelers – We touched on this game in this week’s Airing it Out column. Kansas City needs to win their last two games to squeak into the playoffs as a Wild Card team, and what they’ve got here is a double-whammy since Pittsburgh just happens to be ahead of the Chiefs in the Wild Card hunt.
Expect to see a lot of this guy:

And this guy:
2. Colts @ Cowboys – Dallas can’t have a let-up game after snatching first place in the NFC East away from the Eagles, but it won’t be easy against the playoff-bound Colts.
This one could be a shoot-out.
3. Seahawks @ Cardinals – Four weeks ago Arizona was (9-1) and Seattle was (6-4). It was a foregone conclusion that the Cardinals would win the West and that the Hawks and Niners could squabble over Wild Card scraps.
Here we are in week 16 and the Seahawks can retake the NFC West lead with a win in Phoenix.
Here’s one big reason they’ll get it done in the desert.
