Dubai player loses plot after red card

Tensions ran high in this week’s Asians Champions League match when Al-Ahli FC travelled to take on Chinese outfit Guangzhou Evergrande.

Ah-Ahli’s Salmeen Khamis was red-carded for an alleged stomp on an opponent who was on the ground – and looking at the footage (and the Guangzhou player’s histrionics) Khamis may have been unlucky to be marched.

An emotional Khamis had to be restrained be teammates and management, and physically forced to the sideline, where he continued to struggle in bizarre scenes.

Ah-Ahli lost the match 1-0.
