The Josh Norman vs. Everyone feud erupted again today, with some pointed comments from a New York Giants receiver not named Odell Beckham Jr.

Victor Cruz called out Josh Norman after comments made earlier in the week by Norman that downplayed the Redskins’ secondary getting lit up by Antonio Brown and Pittsburgh.

Norman had talked all offseason about his being the best corner in football, and how he felt that the secondary built around he and Breshaud Breeland was the best in football. But after Brown’s huge game, Norman backtracked, saying that he couldn’t cover Brown because of the system, and not because of Norman’s desire not to.

But Cruz had none of that, calling out the corner for talking a big game but ducking Brown when it came down to it. “If you call yourself the best,” Cruz said, “then you have to cover the best receivers on the other team.”

I see Cruz’s point. If Norman is going to keep talking like this, it’s time to step up and demand to guard the big boys. Especially with that contract.
