It was just two years ago that Andre Ellington was lighting things up for the Cardinals in the backfield with Carson Palmer.

Now, following a struggling year and some injury concerns, the team is making an odd change.

Ellington will move to the slot to receiver to make room for some other running backs and get the guy in space.

It’s a move that looks a lot like the Packers’ Ty Montgomery experiment, and makes a lot of sense in theory.

But still, it’s an odd move, but could be one that starts to become popular in the NFL. Get used to seeing some 5’9 receivers running around.
