The NFL settled in for a festive weekend with the regular season winding down and Christmas coming, but instead the league got some rough news in two places.
AFC Injury Report:
Derek Carr: OUT (broken fibula)
Marcus Mariota: OUT (fractured fibula)
Raider/Titan fans: BLACKED OUT (tequila)

Tennessee’s young star Marcus Mariota suffered a fractured fibula in the Titans’ loss to the Jaguars early on Saturday, which ended both Mariota and his team’s season, eliminated from playoff contention.

And just hours later, it was Oakland Raiders’ star QB, Derek Carr, who would face the injury bug, suffering the same season-ending injury in the Raiders’ win.

It’s a devastating blow for the Raiders especially, who were seen as the favorites to challenge New England in the AFC. Instead, both teams will now search for where to go next.
