2016 SUPER BOWL TEAMS BUNDLED OUT

While we all likely knew the inevitable end for the Carolina Panthers, the Denver Broncos locked up officially what no one could see coming from the start of the season: there will be no repeat champion from the AFC or NFC this season.

To put the icing on a crazy NFL regular season, the Broncos were knocked out of the postseason in their embarrassing loss to the Kansas City Chiefs characterized by abysmal defence.

Just a day earlier, it was the Panthers who would see their slim playoff chances erupt in a blowout loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Neither team ever got going to the level they played a year ago, and just a season removed from 15-1 for the Panthers and the Super Bowl for the Broncos, both teams face glaring holes along their rosters and a rebuild in the future.

We know one thing for sure for this NFL season: we will have new champions.
