The NBA is expected to fine Pacers star forward Paul George after an incident in yesterday’s game against the Chicago Bulls. The play in question happened outside the lines, far away from the action of the game.

See, George was ejected from the game. He was ejected for kicking a fan in the face with a ball.

I know, I know – but stick with me. George, frustrated with a call on him, kicked the ball toward the boundary to show his displeasure. However, the shot missed, and instead promptly pelted a young girl in the stands.
.@Yg_Trece said he apologized to the fan who was hit by the ball.
“Grateful that we won this game and that my ejection didn’t affect it.”

But the story has a happy ending: George immediately ran over to hug the girl, and surely made her night at the game, while he was ejected late in the game with the Pacers up by nearly 20.
And it’s far from the first time the NBA has seen something like this.
