Metta World Peace Returns

The Lakers will get a much-needed boost tonight as Metta World Peace returns.

 

Metta is averaging 12.8 points and 5.1 rebounds this season and will come off the bench when the Lakers host New Orleans today (12:30pm AEST).

 

MWP torn his lateral meniscus in his left knee back on March 25 and after receiving surgery was told he would be sitting on the sidelines for a minimum of six weeks.

 

Steve Nash is set to miss the Hornets game today however will travel with the team to Portland for their game tomorrow (12:00pm AEST).

 

With the playoffs fast approaching, the Lakers are in a tight battle with Utah for 8th place. The 8th seed Jazz, who host the Thunder today (11:00am AEST), are currently half a game ahead of the Lakers.
