The 2014-15 NBA season is ushering in a changing of the guard in the Eastern Conference.
Both Miami and Indiana are mired with losing records and the Atlanta Hawks, a team that teetered on the brink of elimination before sneaking into the playoffs with the eighth seed, are rolling in first place in the Southwest Division. Their record of 33-8 is second-best in the NBA.
Much of their rise to the top can be attributed to the play of veteran 3-point specialist Kyle Korver.
Korver drained seven shots from behind the arc against the Bulls to boost Atlanta to their league-high 12th win in a row.
