Kobe Bryant missed the majority of the Los Angeles Lakers’ 2013-2014 season because of injury – and we all know how determined Bryant is to get back to his best.
18 second into the Lakers’ first preseason match against the Denver Nuggets, Kobe managed to find himself with an open jumper at the top of the key – thanks to a screen from Carlos Boozer. Bryant pulled up and hit absolutely nothing.
Most players would let something like this rattle their confidence, not the Black Mamba. On the very next possession Kobe received the ball in an all to familiar spot and produced a signature Kobe Bryant move.
A sidenote on the evening was witnessing the Lakers’ rookie Julius Randle (7th overall pick in the 2014 draft) in his first preseason game as for LA. Randle’s first bucket came after he went straight down the middle for this smooth two-handled flush.
