While some in South Florida are still be angry at LeBron James for leaving the Heat in a lurch, most fans at American Airlines Arena showed appreciation for their former star as he returned to Miami for the first time as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
A few fans kept bums on seats, but in general James enjoyed this standing ovation:

In the end, Santa Claus rewarded the Heat faithful for their politeness by handing Miami a 101-91 win.
Cleveland is (17-11) on the year, a huge improvement over recent campaigns, but far less dominant than had been predicted for the newly pieced together Dream Team. Their chances at making a deep run in the 2014-15 season were made even slimmer upon hearing that Anderson Varejao will miss the rest of the season with a torn Achilles.
