Kobe Bryant passes Michael Jordan

It may not have been the sexiest way to get it done, but with a pair of free throws against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Kobe Bryant first tied then surpassed Michael Jordan on the NBA all-time scoring list to slide into 3rd place.

Watch here as an emotional Bryant is awarded the game ball mid-contest to mark his monumental achievement.

We’ll never truly settle the argument of who is indeed the greatest basketball player to ever play the game, but #24 can now tell his grandkids that he scored more points than Michael Jordan – as if he didn’t already have enough accolades to brag about.
