Dirk Nowitzki to 9th on all-time scoring list

Yesterday Dirk Nowitzki lead his Dallas Mavericks past the Sacramento Kings 106-98 – but it was a personal achievement by Dirk that stole the headlines.

With 8:57 remaining in the fourth quarter, Dirk drained an elbow jumper to pass former Rockets star Hakeem Olajuwon (26,946) and move into ninth on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.

Additionally the German Assassin moves atop the list of scoring player born outside the United States.

Watch Dirk’s milestones throughout his illustrious career with the Dallas Mavericks. The guy is an absolute legend!

Next to pass on the list is Elvin Hayes at 27,313.
