David Stern inducted into the Hall of Fame

David Stern is without question one of the most polarising figures in all of American sport.

He was the Sepp Blatter of North America, seen by some as the charismatic/genius leader of an international sports empire and by others as a corrupt despot, pulling strings behind the scenes and always justifying the ends by any means.

But whether you love him or hate him, there’s one thing for sure: David Stern has left his irrefutable mark on the NBA and professional basketball is what it is today because of his vision.

Let’s let bygones be bygones and reflect back on Stern’s 30-year career. He took the NBA to new heights and is now a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

For more on the Stern controversy, check out this piece we did back in February when he retired.
