The Philadelphia 76ers ended a two-game slide with a 109-105 away upset of the LA Clippers, and red-hot rookie of the year favourite Ben Simmons was again at the forefront courtesy of seemingly neverending stream of dunks.

The young Aussie finished with 22 points – mostly coming from aerial manoeuvres – and 12 rebounds as the Sixers overturned a two-point deficit at three-quarter time.

Meanwhile, center Joel Embiid outdid Simmons in the stats department, racking up 32 points and 16 boards – both team-high tallies for the season so far.

Philly sit eighth in the East with a 7-6 record and face the Lakers in the last assignment of a five-game road trip on Thursday (AEDT), before playing six straight at home over the ensuing two weeks.
